When Shanks took us out of the league, did we stop becoming Liverpool then? No. Just because we aren't the best in the world anymore doesn't change the club. Just like people, clubs change. It doesn't mean a person stops being the same person and it doesn't mean the club isn't the club anymore. Ill always know Liverpool will be Liverpool because I've grown up with it being a part of my identity and who I am, it doesn't matter who runs the club that doesn't change what it means or stands for. You cant have it both ways, you either want the big global franchise which is now what Liverpool Football Club is with it's multi cultural fan base, big sponsorship deals, 20 million pound players on 100k a week e.t.c. or you want your own identity where the Club represents the city and it's people, you cant have both am afraid.

Exactly Stanley we have as many good and bad fans as them and other Clubs, I have friends who support United and they are not scum, in fact I prefer them to some Liverpool fans I know.

Liverpool is a unique club and we do not want to forget where we come from or what's important by naming it the burger king stadium. Etc etc I read Ian ayre the other day saying we dot want to spend 300 million on a 60,000 seater stadium if there is a cheaper way of improving anfeild and having that 60-70-000 seats that people are clammering for. Read between my lines.
