As long as they do it better than Newcastle I'll be happy.

I would be bothered if the Liverbird went and if they changed the name of the team, the reason Liverpool is called Liverpool is because it's in Liverpool and it makes it feel like it belongs to the city, and without its name it wouldn't. I don't think what I just typed made sense

No longer belongs to the City tho, it's an American Franchise just based in the City for now, the managers, staff and players are not from Liverpool and the fans who go to the match are no longer from Liverpool, there is hardly anything left which links the Club to the City and it's people, this is what happens when a Club goes global, fans cant have it both ways, people want the money and fame it brings but it comes at the price of it's identity.

I want a new stadium so bad! Then maybe I could actually get tickets to games!

We will always call it Anfield, so who cares what the name is!

stan you must know he doesnt mean it read between the lines mate , people talk about the club identity well you must admitt the club is not the club it was maybe 10 to 15 years ago , the old kop has gone the club has changed hands twice maybe more times to come etc etc people getting priced out etc etc , i agree with ian rush 81 if they played the games on dublin or olso or bangkok would it really matter in years to come ?

I think for somebody who watches the games on the telly it would'nt matter if the game is played at Anfield, Bangkok or Timbuktu I also think for nearly all our fans who travel to the game would'nt be too bothered if the stadium was was based nearer the M6 Motorway as it would make there journey's a whole lot easier not to mention nearer to two airports so you see it's not so important to have a stadium in Liverpool at all only if you want the memory part.

I go to the matches and I'm from Liverpool, this club gives us us identity, I mean without this club we wouldn't even be talking about it being Liverpool anymore that makes it what it is in itself, just because it's not the same as what it used to be doesn't mean it's not Liverpool F.C anymore. When Shanks took us out of the league, did we stop becoming Liverpool then? No. Just because we aren't the best in the world anymore doesn't change the club. Just like people, clubs change. It doesn't mean a person stops being the same person and it doesn't mean the club isn't the club anymore. Ill always know Liverpool will be Liverpool because I've grown up with it being a part of my identity and who I am, it doesn't matter who runs the club that doesn't change what it means or stands for.
