Wow....
Found this one to be very interesting!
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/media-watch/sky-sports-laudrup-wantedML was a fine player for Barca and Real in the 80's/90's. One of the best of his generation and even nearly signed for us back in the 80's.
Give the link a read and comment guys!
I'm sure he'd have decent pulling power for a lot of players.
Still... in my opinion the wide ranging net casts people into the obvious two categories:
Upcoming young managers and Proven ones.
Of the likely candidates I'd say it really would be down to Benitez and Capello as the proven types and AVB and Martinez as the upcoming ones.
Out of those I'd take either Capello, AVB and Rafa in that order.
Capello literally never fails, (bar England and that isn't club football) and has taken every Italian Team to the title even if they are not the super elite ones like Juve or Milan.
AVB has a decent record and the Chelsea job was always gonna be tough with the period they are in. We aren't the same. Loads less egos, less of an overhaul etc.
Rafa is proven to us. And with real clout behind him, he'd be able to buy the types of players that were his real first choices instead of the 2nd and more often, 3rd choices he had to settle for!
Only nag about those two disciplinarians is that its structure and work ethic first before style with RB and FC.
Whereas AVB has some natural flair to his repertoire and team ethos.
Interesting dilemma our owners have!
