Ok rumours are he is considering his future.

Liverpool has a lot to offer him and he has a lot to offer us.

He needs to look at downing (ex boro team mate) and see that he is playing every week and playing for England.

This is what Liverpool can offer him as we have no one to play on the right.

Ok we can't offer him champions league but neither can man city as he is just watching from the side lines

Come to Liverpool

He would be a great signing, but I think he's too good for us. Can guarantee spurs will come knocking if he's available

This is the thing if I was pitching Liverpool to Johnson I would say spurs already have Lennon on the right who you will be competing with therefore again risk being on the bench.

Mancini keeps bringing up Johnsons off field attitude, that would be a major concern for me,the guy is a great footballer, unplayable at times,on both wings aswell but something is not right with him at the moment.

I've always thought of him as a bit of a Joe Cole figure. Highly rated by many people but always just outside the 'first eleven'. A good few managers have seen him as a good backup but not first team material.

I think he would be a good signing. Not heard much about his attitude but no player should be happy being a back up player. If he joined us he would be a starter for me and at 24 is a good age.

Johnson is a quality player and having the ability to play on either flank is very appealing, if he did come in he would definatly be the starter on the right wing. I was very suprised when he didn't make the England team. Just depends on the fee Man city would want and if he would want to join a work in progress which obviously we are.

i think he's a cracking player. left footed but good with both feet and can play both wings. he's still a young lad and i think his best years are definitely in front of him. this is the sort of player we should be looking sign imo. we'd be stupid not to make a move if he became available

He is exactly the kind of signing we made last year!

I don't see much difference between him and downing although I would like to see them both playing for us in the same side.
