As much as I think KK deserves at least half more season, I wouldn't want him back. I don't want Rafa back either.
That said, whoever FSG decides to hire will need full support from the team, FSG and us fans for at least 1 full season if not more. (save Hodgson II: poor football and in relegation position by Christmas)

If we dont win our first five games the crowd will be shouting for Dalglish or Benitez regardless, it's called living in the past and the sentiment has killed our poor club, very sad indeed, new manager does'nt have a chance. Somehow i doubt that.

that dortmand manager will do nicely. the german league has a lot of good players and they tend to do well here , cisse and ba are a few examples

Yeah, at least half the people on here won't be happy no matter who is appointed.
I don't see it being Rafa, he can't work under the type of structure that FSG are trying to set up.
Sadly, (from my perspective anyway) I think that's true. I see Rafa as being too over-bearing and hands-on for their liking. Especially since hearing Ayre's comments about the structure they want where the manager has to concentrate less on other areas and mainly on managing the players.

raffa got six years. roy got 6 months and dalglish got a year. why should raffa get more time? its ludicrous. Neither Roy nor Kenny got us within a whisker of winning the league. Rafa's first 5 years with us were very successful - I think too many people let his last season (under internal meltdown within the club) delete those first 5 years from their memories.

did the club melt down, or did raffa get too much control? i certainly remember it being both.

he's a bit like germany. very effective and efficient, but cant give them too much power. (joke) I think that's the main thing they'd be afraid of and why they'd be wary of him. I couldn't really see him settling for having less power/say and taking a backseat, especially in the transfers/scouting department.

It probably was a bit of both, but he stood up to the 2 cowboys who almost ran our club out of existence, and I think we should all be eternally grateful to him for that, not use it as a stick to beat him with
