Out of the "12" names mentioned by the media there are few managers capable of dealing wit the pressures of managing Liverpool. My preferred choice is Rafa. Proven at gettng us into the top 4, increased revenue from that allows us to buy better players and meet financial fair play rules. If we take the risk with Martinez it might be another season or 2 before we are in or close to the top 4. We don't have the time and thats why Kenny was let go. It needs to be done now, bring in someone who has done it before and out of everyone available Rafa ticks all the boxes.

Martinez is too much of a gamble right now, I'd like to see him go to a mid table club (maybe Villa) first.

Klopp would be fantastic as a long term manager, just look at what he has done with what was a very average Borussia Dortmund. They're playing incredible football and rightly winning titles with arguably lesser players than that of Bayern Munich. Question is, would he leave Dortmund to join us? & if so, how long would he take to settle into the English dynamic?

I think you need to dramatically consider the 'very average Dortmund' part of your statement. They have some world class players. Credit still goes to the manager though as he found them/brought them through. Klopp is my first choice.

For me I think It has to be either Klopp or AVB.

Of coarse we could all spout about Pep and managers like that but its unrealistic that they would come for various reasons.

If they are looking for a long standing manager then AVB kind of fits that bill and has had success with the main issue being his time at Chelsea, all be it he was sacked whilst still in touch with top 4, still in the FA Cup and still in the Champions League. I think given time he could still prove to be a top manager in the long run and like Dalglish he should not have been judged on such a short spell.

Klop has already achieved so much also and in many ways also fits the bill and is held in higher regard by many than AVB.

Raffa has the sentimental factor but there are too many ifs and buts about that appointment.
He is not a young up and coming manager who fits their ethos and who knows what was and wasnt true in regards to how close he was to getting 5 star players in but for the board at the time. If what Raffa claims was true then id say get him in, do not inter-fear with his transfers or management of the team and let him do it his way. Its whether you believe he bought some of the poor players he did because his hand was forced or if you believe this was an excuse....

One thing I do know is that this wait is gonna kill me. Happy to wait on transfers but I want a manager in place to be looking and talking to our players etc. The sooner the better

I agree, now, they do have quite a few world class players but when Klopp first came in these players has never been heard of. I don't know who scouted Kagawa but like I said, that man is a genius. I would now gladly take a Hummels, Subotic, Piresic, Goetze, Kagawa, Barrios etc but even two or three seasons ago not many of us would have known any of those names. Klopp has done extremely well in finding these unknown players and making them the world class 'team' that they are today. His football philosophy is fantastic and he's obviously getting the best out of his players. I'm not saying that Dortmund have an average team now but before his appointment there, they were exactly that.

Whatever it is, I don't want a manger that is there to 'steady the ship'. Steadying the ship will end up giving us mid table results all over again, I would love a manager that wants to build a team that challenges up there with the best.

Klopp, bit of pedigree. Plays great football. Relatively young. Exciting. Will have a well developed scouting network of good to top players that martinez et al won't.
