The players I'd like to see brought in would be:
Luuk De Jong - Young and scores alot of goals
Hoilett - again young, only 21, and scored something like 7 goals in 36 games for a team that got relegated, think what he could do given all the opportunities we created and wasted this season.
Aquilani - Never given a fair chance here and I always thought he looked good when he did play. Plus we need some creativity in the middle and its not like we'll have the budget to go buy a world class playmaker this summer, so bringing him back makes sense as it would cost nothing.
Adam Johnson - Can't really think of many other right sided players that are available atm. Obviously I hope a new manager will have his eye on a few right wingers, but I'd make a bid for Johnson and I think City would sell as he seems surplus to requirements there, especially if Hazard does go.
Shawcross - Only if there are funds left over, I'd make a cheeky bid for him to strengthen at the back. Think he's one of the best CB's outside of the top 4/5 clubs and Stoke could be tempted into selling.
I'd also give Downing and Henderson another chance, but they'd have to fight for their place.
Players I'd sell would be:
Joe Cole
Adam
Kuyt if he wants to go
Maxi
Spearing
The team would then be:
...........................................Reina...................
Johnson(Kelly)....Shawcross(Skrtl)....Agger(Coates)....Enrique(Robinson)
Johnson(Sterling)...Gerrard(Henderson)...Aquilani(Lucas)...Downing(Hoilett)
...............Carroll(De Jong)..............Suarez...............
Which obviously isnt a world class side but is a big improvement on what we have already, and would provide a platform for the future with alot of youth in the team. Plus it wouldnt require a massive budget (12m De Jong, 3m Hoilett, 10-15m Johnson?, 10-15m Shawcross? so about £25-35m and we'd make back maybe £10m from sales), so a net spend of £15-25million?
Anyway those are my thoughts
