Why would a Urugauyan commit his whole life to a club in the northwest of england who aren't challenging at the top? As long as they're committed when they're here and treat the club with respect when they leave.
It works both ways too, I don't think Mereiles did much wrong and look how he got treated by the club and some fans.
Get a new manager in quick and make a big signing to convince him, skrtyl, Pepe etc... to stay.
