I'd rather he be honest than come out and said, "it has always been my lifelong ambition to play for Liverpool and I promise I will never leave no matter what". Nothing wrong at all with him having ambition - we'll benefit if he plays his way into their list of targets. It's up to us to match his ambitions enough for him to stay here.
