Ok didn't know what thread to put this comment so here is what i think:

Whoever we choose as our new manager give them a 2 year contract. Their first year will be tough and probably not great and then the second year is when they should start making the impact. Then at the end of that year we can either offer them a new contract if all being well or release them and not have to fork out a few million in compensation like we did with Rafa.

No point in offering managers multi year contracts if after a few bad games they get the boot.

Its easy for us to say this Darren but there are agents that put forth demands that the club either have to sign or move on and sometimes clubs like us have no choice but to agree the terms if we want that manager. I think every club would do this if it was feasible but in the world of agents and greed, 2 year contracts probably doesn't exist.

I would rather have a new manager with a 4 year contract, it shows commitment from both sides.
