Wow we outplayed 2 teams over the course of 1.5 games. Big sh1tting deal. I'd counteract that with the results against, wigan, qpr, bolton, sunderland, swansea, norwich, villa etc etc. mcdermott is a geordie buffoon. The point he is missing is that our season runs for 38 games and we are where we deserve to be. Does he think 8th is acceptable after 16 months and £115m soent? He wouldn't if he was signing the cheques!

Gotta give Kenny Credit for the way he handled himself! What a class act and top man. Dignified in defeat

Steve Clarke, Villas Boas combo anyone?

He didn't have ANYBODY at the blue plastic flags to ease him in and support him by his side.

Di Matteo was gunning for his position, the players were loosing there power, the fans never appreciated him nor supported him.

The only reason Chelsea have "recovered" is because the aging players were given there dummys back. Villas Boas had a vision for the future, something that would keep Chelsea ticking and successful, something the fans and owners admitted, that the squad was becoming old and needed to be changed.

Yet they still sacked him....after he was doing exactly what Abramovich employed him to do.

They might have a bit of success in the short term, but I guarantee in the long run, they are heading in the same direction.

Villas Boas is a young manager and a wounded animal, which could work to another teams advantage in the league. He will always have the burning desire to get one over Chelsea, its "fans" and owner....and a mission to prove the world wrong, that he is capable and a world-class manager.

Believe it or not, the man was being deemed the next Fergie at Porto.......could he be our Fergie?

AVB is a good manager but not sure if he is right for us now after his chelsea experience, he might do best to go back and manage in a different league and get his reputation build back up again.

I will listen, only if your answer contains wisdom

Almost 24 hours on and i still can't believe we've treated the greatest player we've ever had so shoddily. Not only our greatest player, but also one of our greatest managers. It is a matter of record that Kenny reunited a divided club. For the club then to award him a contract that they've now seen fit to tear up is a sad reflection of where we find ourselves. 4 managers in 2 years.......hardly a stable environment for people to excel. What's done is done, but I just hope that these people know what they're doing.

Kenny's reaction just shows the class act he is. To have people on here saying good riddance etc. behind the veil of anonymity provided by a clever username is nothing short of disgraceful and an insult to a great club and everyone attached to it. Kenny Dalglish has always put LFC ahead of everything else, up to a point, let us never forget, that was costing him health wise. He has been there for LFC in its times of greatest need. The least we should give him is thanks and the respect that one of the most decent people ever to grace Anfield deserves.

I'm very sad today. For LFC, for the way I remember the King. For Kenny Dalglish and his family. However, I know that he will continue to support LFC through thick and thin. So should we all.
