I honestly don't believe you can replace a club legend with a manager like Brendan Rogers or Martinez, it'll take a BIG name to appease the fans.

Certainly.

First and foremost he's only just announced that he's taken a year out to spend time with his family. Does anyone honestly think he's gonna suddenly jump into a job with ANY other club?? He's a Barca legend but he'd be seen as a judas and a liar if he did that. Not to mention his family would probably feel a bit cheated. Especially if he went to another country. He's also apparently turned down 2 approaches from Abramovich - who would be able offer him the chance to build a world class team along with a blank chequebook. On top of all that why would he choose us? A team who just finished 8th and aren't in the CL? He's just left the best team in the world. It'd be like leaving your supermodel girlfriend for a dog.

People suggesting him, need to get real, imo.

Not to mention the stick that manager would get on websites such as this. I more than agree that our league form has been appalling this season but think we've arguably progressed in other areas and thought that Kenny deserved a little more time to get things right.

FSG have put a lot of money into the club. They will recouperate it with successful league campaigns and decent runs in the champions league. 'Progressing in other areas' (whatever that means) and winning a poxy carling cup isn't going to get us anywhere. If we'd qualified for the CL then yes, a cup might be the icing on the cake - but we have no cake, just icing - therefore kenny has no job. He'd have been given more time if we were genuinely progressing, but we were going backwards despite huge investment. He didn't have enough for his paln to come to fruition but he had more than enough time to show progression but things were getting worse. He was lucky to have stayed as long as he did.

Since everybody is saying anybody's name, why not Roberto Mancini.

You reap what you sow I guess.

I hope all the players who performed so badly for us last season now feel very upset at Kenny being sacked
