I think this means one thing. That FSG mean business it would have been the easiest thing in the world to stick with Kenny Dalglish and coast along for another year.

It’s clear not just from the sacking of the manager but the wholesale clear out at Liverpool FC that they are not prepared to sit by and watch this club fall to bits. They backed Dalglish in the transfer market and he failed them. They have not knee jerked but given him time to explain and whatever the explanation was it was not enough. I have criticised FSG for sitting on the fence in many posts but now they have acted and decisively. As a fan I cannot ask for more than that.

This can’t be anything else but great news for Liverpool fans from this day the FIGHTBACK begins.

Things are looking up. I just hope that Kenny isn't given another role at the club to 'soften the blow'. That would be the wrong thing to do if they want the club to be a success.

i don't think its a great day for Liverpool fans at all. one of the true legends of the club has lost his job, one of our own. how can you possibly celebrate that? i know our league form has been poor but i think we were more than capable of finishing higher. the players must take a good look at themselves and take responsibility for this sacking.

it does bode well for the future tho with FSG. they seem like ruthless cut-throat businessmen. i just hope it pays off.

it all now depends on who we bring in. bringing in a young inexperienced manager could turn out badly for us. if we can not attract a manager with experience at the very top level of european football then i don't think we should look elsewhere than Rafa Benitez.

Are you now going to change your name to "Kenny must come back?"

Nonesense Dalglish was a failure both in 2012 and 1991 and throughout his career excepting blackburn and that was short lived. If being a legend is the qualification then give the job to Ian St John or Roger Hunt. Its great news he has gone as an LFC fan I am totally overjoyed.

I will support the new manager and he will have bad spells but if he is the right man he will take us there. Dalglish was the wrong man look at his track record
