He does have the quality of a better player than he's allowed to be at the moment. He's a center mid learning the game but has been thrown out to do the grave yard shift and has suffered accordingly. Absolutely proved me wrong about Lucas as he developed into one of our best players over the last season and a half. I really like the kid as well so very happy to have been wrong.
Henderson could yet turn out to be quality, not disputing that. I just don't think it's fair to play up the fact he's suffered from being on the right/has more quality than he's allowed to show. I think his failure this year is mostly down to him. He played absolutely plenty of games on the right last year for sunderland. Most of his assists came from the right. Also he has been given ample chance to be better than he has.
Like I said, not saying he won't come good, just don't deflect too much responsibility away from him. Not just Kenny's fault Hendo hasn't turned up in nearly every game this season.
