After all the anti dalglish threads I wanted to post something a bit different, although unfortunately it is still negative.

All this pressure on kenny to deliver top four yet most of us at the start of this season didn't expect us to make it anyway! Rather than putting all the blame at kennys door, what about FSG? They say they want CL football yet they have only invested £30m of their own money, into a very weak Liverpool side. These days that sum is a minimum requirement just to stay in the top four places, which let's be honest we are a million miles away. We need to be investing £60m a season in order to catch up! If FSG want to live up to their aspirations they are gonna have to dig a lot deeper than £30m in 18 months! In that 18 month period we have been outspent by city, united, Chelsea, tottenham, and we are probably on a par with arsenal on net spend. But there squad was a lot better than ours to begin with. which ever way you spin it, our net spend has been poor! 

So all this criticism fired at kenny is uncalled for. None of us expected fourth anyway, but we picked up a trophy and got to the FA cup final while trying. FSG aren't exactly pumping the club full of cash and we are being out spent by the teams around us. Could we possibly have more yanks with false promises? 

Where's the financial muscle they promised? Where's our new stadium? Where's our support and YNWA mentality towards our manager and club legend kenny dalglish?

120m odd spent, a load of crap purchased, buy British policy sucked, no idea of European talent, disgracefully burnt money on Downing Henderson and Adam, made a mess of the Suarez situation, season was an absolute disgrace, the bigggest disgrace in many many a year and all you can find is the owners.

Wake up, legend past, shocker present, deserved to go.

Had ANY other manager have had the season we've had, all Kenny fans would have been biting to get him the boot. THE BLIND LOYALTY BRIGADE that are partly to blame for the demise of our once great FOOTBALL club. Yes, believe it or not, this is a FOOTBALL CLUB, not anyones family restaurant of which kenny is the uncle.

That was money recouped from selling star players.

So what your suggesting is that we are a selling club and we should still be top 4?

jammer, FSG do have to answer these question but Kenny's time is up, to many poor performances and if we just missed 4th place we would not be having this topic as discussion. signing have been seriously poor.

nothing wrong with the original post, its an opinion and a well made one.

cant understand jammer getting abuse on this one. and as for calling things "brigades", its getting old.

If i was FSG id be worried to give kenny money itd be like giving a child your life savings while you walk into toys r us.

Kenny's average points per game for last season would have been enough to finish in 2nd place had he been in charge for the whole season. If he'd carried that same avearge forward to this season we would have finished 3rd. That's why FSG set him a target of 4th. It was a very conservative target which they probably thought he should easily acheive, especially considering all the extra funding they were providing. Quite how he has capitulated so horrendously whilst spending a fortune in the process is beyond reason.
