I was so excited about Kewell, my Man Utd supporting friend thought we were gonna be title winners because of that purchase. I also desperately wanted Babel to push on.

Hendo, Carroll, Adam, Poulsen, Konchesky are all people I was fairly confident wouldn't work to their relative expectations.
The first 3 have time to prove me wrong though.

harry kewell. like most thought he was going to be the last bit in the jigsaw. plus titi camara, i thought with that name he must be good

heskey, i know he was going to be sh!t.

Has to be Ryan Babel for me. The anticipation was great, the whole world was talking about him that time, the next T.Henry so it was obvious to get excited about him.

The one which I had a feeling wouldn't work was Poulsen (had problems with Juventus too)

exciting signing: johnson, downing, and to a lesser extent J.cole.

signing i knew was awful: adam, poulsen and bellamy.

Lucas (remember his credentials), Harry Kewell, Alonso, Joe Cole, Coates, Downing, Carroll, Suarez, Torres, Maxi (brilliant for Argentina), Luis-Garcia, Johnson (liked his attacking qualities)

Henderson, Konchesky, Poulsen, Diomede, (saw him in France - utter rubbish), Meijer, Dossena, Traore, Morientes (knew it wouldn't work out), Heskey (ditto), Crouch, anyone younger than 16 as they disappear

Oh yeah - forgot I was excited about Cisse too!
