I really hope thats not out squad. Downing and Sterling would not be good starters. Shelvey shouldnt be a starter yet. Gerrard on the wing with a new cm.

Sterling needs to start somewhere and Gerrard just isn't doing it any more just living off past performances. Downing needs to be told to stop passing it backwards and run down that line and cross the ball in and besides have no other options as bellemy is always injured.

If we're only allowed to pick people owned by Liverpool:

Bench: Doni, Enrique, Sterling, Henderson, Carragher, Shelvey, Bellamy

It would be great to get Sterling in, but I dont see him contributing to much yet. He should start getting much more time, but starter? Not yet in my books

Sure. No one else seems to want him. Depends on whether he and management see eye to eye, of course. Loaning him out was not wise - he's not the best player in the world, but he's better than what we've seen from Henderson and Shelvey this season.

I would prefer that we buy a proper right winger than pushing Gerrard out into a position he claims to not like, in which case Aquilani's presence is largely moot as he's a pretty expensive guy to have on the bench. But I can't see us splashing on anyone of an age to walk into the first team ahead of Kuyt, Bellamy, Gerrard, and Downing at RM. We're much more likely to get a raw 22 year old and not loan out Amoo.

Aqua did impress in pre-season must be a reason why no-one wants him?
