big call there house. I don't think he is quite ready to be a regular but I wouldn't loan him out either. I hope Gerrard will help him mature into a top player. No doubt about his potential but he is still young and is prone to making the wrong decisions at times. I would have him ahead of Henderson, Spearing and Adam though.

I never finish anythi

Agree with you House, don't loan him out, play him,
he has shown that he's up for it, show's great commitment and does not hide, always calling for the ball, delighted he scored yesterday..

Totally agree, loan him to a PL side. Look at the benefit to welbeck cleverly and sturridge. Upped their game significantly.

Age is getting used as an excuse a bit too much. The likes of fowler, owen, macmanaman, gerrard etc all made their debuts at 18 and became regulars turning in consistent performances. THEY could have been forgiven for certain mistakes and quiet days because of their age. Can we really use the age excuse for players in their 20s who have had 50, 100+ senior appearances under their belt?

I'm not saying Shelvey is no good as he is clearly 10 times the player henderson will ever be, but his current level of skill is probably a good indication of what he can become. I see him as being a good player for a mid-table side ie us . If we ever progress and become a top 4/CL challenging team I don't see him being a key player or a star - if he was going to be some kind of major influence we'd have seen a lot more signs of it by now. He'll get a reasonable amount of games but as the team improves I think he'll become someone's understudy.

Very good point - all those players and same for the young man united ones over the years had 'something about them' at an early age. I still wouldnt bin henderson yet (mainly c os we wont recuperate 20 million or 16m or whatever for him.

Henderson has his running to his game and getting into the box - clearly KD doesnt use him in this role, so can't be too hard on him much as he irrates the sh1t out of me. Downing well if he was 20 i would be worried to be honest he puts the odd good cross in thats about it, better than no winger at all though or babell i have to say. Sterling already shows something when hes playing in the first 11.

Shelvey dont think he'll be a great player but better than spearing in my view. I think shelvey has the cockiness required but needs to either improve tackling or be more agressive going forward i think he will come good however

I don't want to see him going out on loan, I think he has enough experience under his belt, he has some good qualities for his age to play a bit part and be one of our second string players.
