Estaban Granero. This fella is under rated and won't be too expensive.

I think Granero is on our radar, or was earlier in the year. Havent heard too much recently though. I'd take him in a second, if he isnt too expensive....

Me too instead of Granero, but not as a Gerrard replacement.

Players like Gerrard in his prime are few and far between and we were lucky to have him, but we should also have known when to cash in and that was a few seasons ago. We have been lacking in too many positions to cling onto a world class player, we should have sold him and used the big money to strengthen a few positions on the pitch.
I hate saying that, because I like the idea of a one club player.

I think we need a holding mid and a creative mid. Granero is a box to box mid, who can play the holding or the creative, so he would probably be a good option. What I like about him is that he has some fight in him and is a bit like Kuyt in the sense that he keeps at it.
I think the Elm rumours are good, because he actually reminds me a bit of Alonso, he sits back, defends and moves the ball around very well. Plus his dead balls make Adams look like dog trying to knod a ball around.

We have seriously lost the game in midfield this year, you can see that the mids have been poor by how many assists thay have given the Strikers, and how many goals they have scored.

It's funny to think that at the begining of the season we had Mereiles, Aqualani, Adam, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Spearing and Shelvey. Because amoungst them Aqua, Raul, Lucas and Gerrard were what I thought to be one of the mids with the most potentual in the league. Then we sold 2 of the best players. That's where we have lost it.

We used to have a midfield of mascharano, alonso and gerrard.

now we have adam spearing and gerrard

is it any wonder the poor fella is suffering.

Gerrard is past his peak so he is never going to be like he was but is still a fantastic and integral part of our team
Spearing and adam are significantly lesser players then xabi and masch
