Reina has been shocking for 2 seasons! He's like teflon Pepe (and its not just his gloves)! You should judge a good keeper by the number of points he wins you, I estimate with his mistakes he has cost us at least 10pts possibly more and he cost us yesterday!

Did you read his interview in the Mail, he admits he's been poor but was concentrating on helping us win the cup, oh dear!

Vorm has really impressed me and cost just £3m, its the kind of signing we just don't make anymore!

So making him worse was the obvious answer? Reina did make the odd howler, but you'll find very few "perfect" keepers - no one was especially keen to sell Grobbelaar, were they? But Reina did not make as many mistakes as he has this season, and a lot of that comes from the way he was forced to play under Hodgson, and he's been helped by some abject defending. He used to command his area well, and was an excellent shot stopper - now he's neither and that doesn't just happen without external cause.
Sorry there is no way whatsoever am having that Hodgson made Reina a worse keeper, thats the most ridiculous thing I have heard on here for a long time, Hodgson was here about 5 months thats all, if people are going to put forward a counter claim no problem but come on give us something worthwhile you can actualy back it up with.

Hennessy is out for 6 months

and the goal keeping coach who will be relieved of his duties come the close season could be the real reason in pepe decline.

I agree that Reina has lost it, he looks like he could not be botherd playing for Liverpool anymore. He has been beaten too much this season at his near post. I think he will move on soon and we will need a decent replacement

I dont think he has lost it just yet. He will be back next season. I would not judge him so soon - he has saved us on numerous occasions and make no mistake that he is an excellent keeper.

Reina is clearly not the player he was. Although he was always helped by having a solid defense and not facing many shots, he was still a solid and generally reliable keeper. Unfortunately, his gaffes are becoming more and more frequent. If we can get someone like Vorm cheap, then I say go for it. But there are many other areas of the team that need strengthening before Reina. Our priorities this summer should be goal-scoring forward, creative midfielder, and winger. Then, maybe, we can look into a keeper. But the difference between good and average keepers is frankly not that great so I think we could still get by with Reina for another year or two.

I think that pepe has lost focus and maybe next season will be make or break for him, not from the club stance, but he might want to go back to the spanish league.

I used to tell people that reina was the best keeper in the world - feel a bit foolish now. His success was a mixture of good performances and a good defence in front of him. Now that his performances have dropped off and our defence isn't so good he looks quite ordinary.
