Poor guy gives 110% every game. He needs a rest. Was our best player for good part of the season. Defenders don't win matches too often especially full backs. They can only lose matches for you and to be honest he has not lost us many compared to Carragher, Reina, Johnson and even Skrtel.
He needs to be rested as do a lot of our team. Hopefully with the summer off he will come back strong. +1

a bloody rest. he needs to give his performances a rest. shocking displays You know nothing about sport. lol..must be the new prima donna sports i don't know anything about. in my day fullbacks played 60 games a season on crap pitches ,getting clatterred every game..now they need a rest in jan, after 4 months of a non-contact sport. u need a bit of reality. jose has been pure crap and needs to buck his ideas up. not rest

maybe ur right..we should sign another left back though. as jose can only play till jan poor lad. that evra fella plays and runs a lot..what's his secret, ashley cole too. hmmmm me thinks ur talking with bullcrap in ur mouth

When do the full backs get subbed off. They run like the clappers against wingers who are faster going forwards than defenders are running backwards whilst trying to time a tackle that won't get them booked. THEN having seen off one opponent successfully the opposition sends on a fresh pair of legs to have a go at the now tiring full back. He then has to do it all over again. In your day full backs played 60 games plus but didn't have the opposition changing attackers to batter them every other game. The accumulation soon adds up. Enrique over the season has been one of our best 3 or 4 players because I am sure that over the season there are not 4 better than him in a red shirt.
