Again Gerrard was pretty useless yesterday and did not much as captain of the club...

He an absolute legend but his time is up, needs replacing.

Cold hard facts are he's been very ineffective / injured for last 2 years and as he gets older he can't marshal this team

Thoughts....

seems like it's the morning after the night before syndrom - Reina needs replacing, Gerrard needs replacing, Kenny must go etc...

it can't be done overnight... it's going to have to be done steadily and in the meantime having Gerrard around might not be a bad thing. But yes, we do need to bring in a quality young midfielder that reduces our reliance on Gerrard.

Might be a case of before the match we thought some players were'nt good enough now after the match we know there not good enough, think Gerrard can still have a role tho.

At the end of the day football is a team sport. Gerrard can only influence the game so much when the other 2 midfielders aren't doing there jobs. Gerrard is best in an advanced position, but he couldn't take that position to much because he always needed to go back to help out Hendo and Spearing.

Like I said, football is a team sport.

We already have his replacement. Step forward Mr. Henderson.

He doesn't need replacing, just a position change, Right side of midfield for his quality delivery or maybe beside carra on the bench for a bit of motivation

Ive been gojn on abt reina longer than just today fella.

That's a good call. Rafa used to play him wide right or up front with Torres for the good of the team. If we get a creative midfielder, Lucas can be defensive midfielder, Downing left wing, Gerrard right side with Suarez and Carroll up front.
