Some stupid slag on talkSPORT this morning needed a right slap. "Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley would be turning in their grave now because of Rafa," she moaned. Well if I had my way today Peter Sutcliffe would be putting the frightners on her tonight. Seriously, I was left livid after listening to her drone on, and every other muppet who is disrespecting the Liverpool manager today.
Pro-Rafa, anti-Rafa... some of your statements are fair, some of your statements are unfair... so why go over and over the same old [oops]? I'm not in either camp but I could pull up people in both sides who are desperate to prove themselves right.
The reality is this. 2nd last season means nothing, it's history so stick that up your arse for starters. We have crashed out of the Champions League but big deal, sh*t happens. We move on. The majority of the time we do well in the competition so it's not like we endure this kide of run every season and besides, the FA Cup and Europa cup might mean nothing to you but they do me.
I'd love a good run in the FA Cup. That competition means so much to me. It reminds of the good old days. These days you're all so far up your own arses with your "oh it's a Micky Mouse cup". [oops] it is!
Of course we want to win the European Cup and the League should remain our priority but some you talk about the FA Cup like it means nothing. You've turned into Manchester United fans overnight. Still, it's funny how you all want to be at the finals when we do reach them.
The manager, whether you rate him or not, has made good buys and bad buys just like anyone else but he hasn't had the backing that the others get. However, some managers with less resources can obtain results... but are they in as many competitions?
The club has been run like a shambles for years, we've had a soap opera running in the board room and while we can't blame the owners for everything, they have contributed to this mess.
Fans are welcome to support the manager or not support him but please show some respect. He is STILL our manager. The same applies with our players who some of you don't rate, myself included.
It's easy to manage from a mouse and keyboard. Whoever is in charge we will always agree and disagree with certain decisions and tactics.
I repeat, I'm neither pro-Rafa or anti-Rafa. I believe things will take their natural course. I don't want him sacking but if he did go, we move on.
I still believe you don't turn on someone so quick, especially after they delivered a European Cup. Yes it was 4 years ago but it's a very valuable piece of silverware in our history that no other Liverpool manager in recent years has got close to. Because of this I feel he deserves a little more respect and time.
This is the time when we see who is a fan and who is a supporter. YNWA... read the lyrics... we win together we lose together.
Some of you should try supporting a team that struggles for survival every year down near the bottom of the league or even in the lower leagues. You wouldn't cope. Some of you are a disgrace.
In my eyes a real supporter expresses his/her views about the manager and his team sensibly and without having to be disrespectful. They stand by their views whether they are in the majority or minority and try to express why they have their views.
A real supporter who wanted rid of Rafa would explain why but add that he would prefer to see him succeed and turn things round. A real supporter who backs Rafa would say why they still have faith in him but add that they can understand why some may have lost their faith.
A real supporter would not be abusive to someone with a different view or attept to bait them.
We all love the club but some of us are very childish. This applies to both camps. If you can't handle someone with a different view or someone refuses to debate sensibly, ignore them and don't engage.
There's plenty of people who I disagree with but I think what's the point because they won't listen.
I'm in neither camp and as I said, each camp says some good points but each camp also comes out with some right [oops]!
Step out of the camp you're in and try to be realistic because your opposites actually say things that sometimes make sense too. You can't be right (or wrong) all of the time.
I'm not going to patronise you and say everything's great because it's not. I'm also not going to bore you to death with statistics or try and justify anything that Benitez does or doesn't. What I am going to say is show some ****ing respect to the manager or **** off and follow another team.
I often get misquoted so I'll make it very clear for those Reds who are a little slow... I'm neither pro-Rafa or anti-Rafa. I agree with some things that both camps say. But whatever camp you're in, just lay off the insults on the boss.
Some of you do my ****ing shed in. You use every opportunity to even attack past managers like Graeme Souness, Roy Evans and Gerard Houllier and if it's not managers you're attacking you're having a pop at former players like Stan Collymore, Jamie Redknapp, Mark Lawrenson and Ronnie Whelan. If they don't say what you want to hear they're attacked.
Alan Hansen often has a pop but you don't slate him do you. Oh no, because you like him as a person. All of these former players are entitled to opinions. Yes we can disagree with them and no they're not always right but they're not always wrong either. Show them some ****ing respect too while you're at it. Attacking people just because they're not 'positive' is ghey as ****.
We have the best fans in the world but Christ do we have some moaning [oops]. Every [oops] day you find something to moan about.
Hypocrite much? Maybe but when I criticise I try to do it with real justification and not because I don't agree with someone's view.
For example. I have no time for Ryan Babel. He's proved to be a right let down. His comments yesterday had some of you crying but just because he's critical, does that mean we should deem him the anti-Christ? If he says there's a clique in the changing room do we simply ignore what he says because it's Ryan Babel? No. We should listen to him even if we don't agree with him making a public outburst. I want shot of him but I will still listen to what he has to say.
Oh and Stan Collymore. A lot of you like to have a good bitch about him. How dare he suggest Benitez isn't up to the job. Why not? He's a former professional footballer and a good one at that. Yes he let himself down but that was because he was clearly tapped in the head by his own admission. We can all pick at player's personal lives but we're all squeaky clean are we? Are we ***!
With Collymore I see passion. I don't agree with some things he says but after last night's match he said: "Hicks & Gillet, please f**k off now!" Oh but that's anti-LFC right? Grow the *** up. He has an opinion and he's entitled to. It doesn't mean you have to agree with it but show some ****ing respect.
There are rights and wrongs in football all of the time. We agree and disagree with people in the game all the time. It's football. Without someone having a different view to you the game would be dull. We'd have nothing to talk about.
This is why I run KopTalk a lot differently than a lot of Liverpool FC websites. Some will do nothing but tell you that everything's great, others will tell you the world is ending. Some forums won't allow negativity, some forums will allow a free-for-all. I believe that everyone is entitled to an opinion and that any Red can support the club how they think is best. Any LFC view is welcome on my site providing it's expressed sensibly and without hatred.
I've had people come to me over the years saying "Get rid of xxxx because he's always negative and has nothing good to say about Liverpool". Even if xxxx is in the minority, why is he not entitled to say his like any other fecker? I've lost maybe 10 people in one go for simply defending 1 person but I believe that standing by someone's right to express their view is the right thing to do, providing they aren't abusive.
Say what you ****ing like about me, people do, especially the muppets who have crossed me but there's one thing for sure, even when I lose faith in a manager, I won't resort to personal insults. People that do that aren't welcome on KopTalk, in our free Liverpool forums or on our VIP members-only website.
Whether your view is back him or sack him, show some ****ing respect you morons. And if I've offended you, good! Like I give a ***! If you want to cancel your membership or stop visiting this site because of my editorial, excellent, you're just the sort of person that I'm talking about, someone who can't accept the views of others, someone who is not strong enough to take it on the chin. Get off this site you wimp!
I haven't spell checked it because I can't be arsed. All I'm doing right now is thinking about the Everton game and wondering how we'll do. Champions League? Stick it up your arse.
If Rafa fails and leaves we accept it and move on. If he stays we should continue to hope he turns things around. Those of you that simply call for him to be sacked but come up with no real alternatives need a size 10 planting on the end of your nose just like those of you who believe Rafa is blameless and a total genius.
