It's all well and good saying we have a decent backline, but.....the only one that ken signed has been the weak link for some months. Not sure that deserves credit.

this season isn't a success, and IMO isn't by a long way. but failure might be a strong word, we have won our first bit of silverware for a long time. but we did spend a lot of money for that league cup. we may still look back on this season and see it as step in the right direction, but it will only be a very small step. this season is a lot closer to a failure than successful. i know most teams fans say this about every summer, but this summer is huge for lfc. new manager and new midfield.

Before then he looked to be the signing of the season. He's having a slump now, but he's quality.

What happens now is we have sh*t loads more of these threads suggesting that anyone but Dalglish would have us signing the best players in Europe for tuppence, winning every game, playing the game as it should be played and putting LFC to the top of the pile where we belong within 12 months. Easy peasy!

It says 'newcastle utd' all over again, ie

-takes over mid season and turn things around a bit
-bring in own players during the summer and the club drops down to mid table by the end of the season
-reaches fa cup final and loses with a very poor performance

yet nothing in what you've written was suggested, you just made it up.

It's implied in everyone of these threads

Spearing, Henderson, Downing and Adam out. What a waste of money. Bring Kenny along while at it. Bring on a tactical genius please.

We have a top 6 side. We had a top 6 side last year. Millions has been spent, and we still have a top 6 side, but we're mid table.

I think his tactics have brought about an attractive attacking way of play and whilst we have spent far too much on certain players a little bit of luck/clinical finishing etc could have brought about a far far different season. I'm just saying that there maybe isn't that much wrong, there really isn't.

Sod the tactical genius, I think we need a manager with some balls to give our over paid flops a kick up the arse!
