I know people like to play the old tapes vinyls etc but i think i heard somewhere you can buy a gadget that lets you convert your old tapes onto disc? mind you with my techno skills that could have been invented in 1990 for all i know, but i heard it only last month.

What an iconic album that was. I think that was the first album I ever bought that wasn't in the Britpop genre.

you can pick up a device on ebay for around €15 - €20 - converts tapes to MP3, then those files to cd / ipod etc

but that takes the fun out of playing it on the old technology, old vinyls for one thing, but I'm sure you'll get a pain you arse when the tape recorder gobbles up and wrecks the tape!!

yea i dont want to convert them, i just want to be able to play them once in a while. i remember the heartbreak of a tape being eaten, especially an original, and not having the money to replace it. it was like a death.
