how can people say the fa cup dont mean anything
Look who has won it the last 10 years and you tell me it means nothing
Liverpool

Manchester City
bar Portsmouth all the clubs are big clubs
I'm not syaing it means 'nothing', I'm saying it means very little
to me. In terms of moving us forward us a club financially it means very little and relative to the importance of the winning the league it is almost insignificant. Also, winning domestic cups is clearly no indication of whether we are progressing or we wouldn't be where we are in the league.
But some people do enjoy the cups, which is fine - I have no problem with that.
I have a problem when people say kenny is doing a good job and they use the domestic cups as 'proof'....
Were the portsmouth and birmingham managers doing a good?
Was it a springboard for them?
Did it move them forward as a club?
Did it improve their league positions?
It is what it is - a knockout cup competition where form and favourites often go out of the window. If we win a cup great - if we don't...nevermind, what's for tea?
