Strange times indeed on here when we are dismissing a manager that won the Champions League and F. A. Cup and gave us our first genuine title challenge in 20 years.

I would take Rafa back tomorrow.

We will watch Chelsea in the Champions League semi final tonight as we bicker on here.

Remember when we used to be looking forward to Champion's League semi finals under Rafa.

Those were glory days and we didn't even know it.

I agree Rafa was tactically miles ahead. Look at those european nights and he took us to second place and a run at the title that seems unimaginable now.

If Rafa was so great, why did he last less than a season at Inter, probably the best team in Europe then. Why is it that no big team came for him since he was sacked some 2 years back? For me Rafa would definitely be a step backwards

How do you know a big team didn't come in for him.

None of us know that.

Regular Champions League football is a step backwards I could live with.

A lot of posters have been saying who they dont want in charge next season but what realistic manager would you like to see get the job.

Jurgen Klopp or Villas Boas... Both fit the FSG profile and I can't see them going back to another old manager like Rafa if they do move Kenny aside!

Liverpool is a massive challenge that I believe many young managers would love to take on! Klopp after this season will have won 2 Bundesliga titles with Dortmund, where else can he take them? He may fancy a new challenge and to test himself in another country!

Are you serious about AVB? That guy nearly destroyed chavs. He's not proven in the english league at all. You want to waste another season just to try him out?

Klopp will never come to LFC at the state we're in.
