i have never heard any suggestions he was interested in buying the club outright to be honest - best i have heard is a percentage of it but even that i doubt very much

i saw this and i think it gives you an idea of what kind of things the yanks are looking for in terms of investment - they don't want out, just backers:

Another bidder appeared on the scene for the controlling interest in the Texas Rangers. His name: Tom Hicks. Hicks, who has owned the club since 1998, expressed renewed optimism on Wednesday that his own locally-based investment group would allow him to maintain his current status as majority owner. Hicks has been seeking minority investment in the club to help retire debt since late March, but over the course of the summer, it became more likely he would have to sell at least a majority of his interest in the team in order to service the debt. Hicks said he has found a significant number of local investors, including Cowboys Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach, to back him.

So sad that we can't get rid of the Yanks. Realistically we have no chance, no matter what we do, to chase them out.

they're like cockroaches, they'll survive a nuclear attack!

we'll always be at least one step behind clubs like chelsea and man u as long as the yanks are in control....

they have no intention of selling any major stakes so we're stuck with thm for the long-term....lets just hope there's some money when the summer comes so that we can buy a couple of good players...
