It doesn't mean that we are completely out of the PL race as we are second and only a couple of points behind but we really are going to have to win every game from now until the end of the season. I will be gutted if we don't win but I will support Rafa to bring us the title next season as I believe he has done very well to get us where we are now.

yeah Steve it's going to be a tough ask to win it this season.

I suppose we really are doing better than we thought we would but it's little consolation especially if the mancs win it - chelsea winning it, I could live with but the mancs?!!! frown

Still, it's not over yet by a long stretch. If we can keep close to the mancs and beat them in March who knows what may happen.

We're competing only in Europe now whereas they have 4 competitions to deal with - hopefully all their fixtures will trip them up! and give fergus something more to moan about laugh

failed miserably is a little harsh. Yes, we've dropped sloppy points at home but you have to remember we are 10 points better off now than at the equivalent stage last season. That for me indicates progress. We have also been short our two best players for part of the season already in Gerrard & Torres and we are now missing Gerrard again. I'll give you Lucas alright. He's not up to it but i disagree that we've failed miserably. We are tight on their a*ses and they will slip up again. We just have to make sure that we don't....

exactly - nothing like a reality check. of course it's disappointing to have dropped silly points especially after having done so well in the hard games but that's all part of the learning curve. Winning the league is SO difficult which is why I think Rafa, his staff and the team have broken all expectations so far especially with all the back room politics and the players he has at his disposal (just checkout the chavs and the mancs sub's bench sometime).

UK players come at a price plus most clubs will not sell to their main rivals

i would rather take traore than clichy and wouldn't touch van persie with a bargepole - the lad's attitude is one of the major causes of the problems at arsenal

but sagna there is no doubt would improve our side and has been the best rightback in the prem the last two seasons

The season is littered with positives and negatives. We have taken the most points when facing the top 4 and shown (at some stages) good character to win games. on the other hand, we are still screwing up when playing the lesser teams.

plus somethings dont change like Slur Alex selling his soul to the devil. it is amazing year after year how lucky they get.

Most UK clubs won't sell their uk players as they go up a lot in value with experience.
