What I think Kenny will play:
----------------------Jones----------------------
-Johnson-------Skrtel------Carragher------Enrique-
-Henderson----Gerrard-----Spearing-----Downing-
-------------Carroll--------Suarez---------------
The biggest doubt for me is whether he goes with Agger or Carragher at the back. Agger's only back from injury, but he's had 2 sub appearances since, which I think is enough to get back into the swing of things, not to mention that he's been one of our best players as soon as coming on in both games. Shelvey and Maxi put a strong claim in for a starting place the other day, but I think he'll opt for Spearing's battling qualities for the scrap in midfield.

Slight change for me, rodriguez would at least have some effect at right midfield.

Putting him on the left would mean Downing coming over to the right, which is a possibility for Kenny to do, and he's done it before, but I'm not a huge fan of that.

Downing on the right is like having no player at all.

He's looked like a threat on goal when cutting in, but we bought him to be a winger. If Carroll's playing, I see little point in playing Downing on the right. I like seeing he and Enrique overlapping on the left.

Downing and Enrique's partnership has sort of dipped over the past few games, mostly due to low confidence I assume, but they do seem to have a good understanding.

Start with Maxi as he is better starting than coming on as an impact sub. Kuyt is better coming on as a sub this season so that would be my choice on the right.
Would not put Henderson in this one unless he has to come on for Spearing once he starts treading a red card tightrope.
Agger/Skrtel to start. Need to have a high tempo start which is what we do well with Maxi but need to haul him off at the right time as he fades out of games quickly 2nd half. This would lead to having Carroll on the bench but to win I think that is what we need to do.

Opta Liverpool @OptaLiverpool 3 - On all three occasions Liverpool have beaten Everton in an FA Cup semi-final, the Reds have gone on to lose the final. Worrying.
Interesting stat. I'd still rather beat Everton in the semi and lose in the final than get beaten by the bitters in the semi.
