Commoli sorted the deals out so he had to go - I'm surprised it took so long. My concern is that kenny thinks commoli did a 'fantastic job in bringing the players to the club". Really??? no one else was after them so why did we pay 10x the going rate? DC did a very poor job and as he isn't to be trusted with the club's money there is no point in him staying here any longer.
Now, regardless of the fees involved, kenny's choices of player have been abysmal - If DC can't be trusted with the money then Kenny can't be trusted with the selections. But as there are only a handful of games left I can see why the board might wait until summer before announcing that kenny has left the club "for family reasons".
I was listening to a radio phone-in abotu an hour ago and some crank suggested that kenny be moved into the Director of Football role - We'd be back to square one!!

Anyway, DC's departure is the best bit of club news I've heard for over a year. Come on FSG, keep going...

I think David Dein would be fantastic for the club. He absolutely transformed Arsenal while he was there and helped bring in some of the best players England has ever seen - Bergkamp, Henry, etc. - many of which were diamonds in the rough that he didn't pay over the odds for.

My only concern is the, shall we say, "shady" relationship he has with his son Darren, the agent. World Soccer had an article on it last month that I'll try to dig up. The term "conflict of interest" comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with a bit of honesty perhaps? Besides, I'm just surprised kenny stayed until the end of the interview without stropping off!

Dunc mentioned about Ian Ayre, stadium naming rights and that he is under immense pressure.

Dein has obviously been around the club. If he is appointed, it is important for a number of reasons. The new stadium and naming rights (remember Emirates), future players/signings, important if we are looking at another manager or IMPORTANT if we stick with Kenny.

We will just have to wait and see, but SH*T IS GOING DOWN ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Don't rule out the unexpected, and that includes the managers position.

Good times ahead! laugh laugh laugh laugh

i am very happy with fsgs decision today. they showed they mean business and it came as a surprise even though it was an obvious choice.
