.....and fill it with sh*t like xfactor and what not! Cheap production programs, elevated from glorified pub karaoke!

No thanks, shove it up your ars*!

They don't show anything original or thought provoking like they used to, everything's either the same old sh*t or a repeat! What happened to all the fantastic comedies and sitcoms ay?

All stopped, for this phone in, vote culture.

They're selling of all the stuff worth watching, yet the TV license still remains at its extortionate pinnacle!

F*ck off!

I hate hate hate hate HATE what they've done to football. They can shove their money where the sun doesn't shine! They've become far to powerful now and are starting to influence the insides of football, when they should ONLY EVER be on the outsides!

They've become so powerful and controlling, they've branched of in multiple directions and now own almost everything on the monopoly board.

They've taken all the sport of national TV over the years, to the point where we won't have any sport on "free" TV at all.

The subscription fees for the digital TV is sickening, hence why Murdoch will never get a penny of me.

....oh yes, and the BBC and government still expect you to pay a TV license, after they decided themselves everything went digital, without the public having a say in it at all! It was all decided for us, without a question being asked.

Conveniently BBC are selling all the sport they had left of to Sky (most recently half of F1....which wont be half for long, mark my words.) using the good ol' "cut back" excuse......funny how its Sky who buy them out. Ain't it? "cut back"

So we have to pay for digital and still pay for a TV license....which has never ever been reduced since its introduction. It now stands at summat like £150 a year. Still. Even when the BBC sell everything of worth f*cking watching!

RANT OVER BEFORE I EXPLODE mad

I agree with every word.
Stanley if it was'nt for television, we would not have all the fans we have now, it's no coincidence that Liverpool and United have the most fans and are on the telly more than anyone. it's the price we have to pay unfortunately which came at the price of the Club's identity. I agree Sky is a ripp off but am afraid I do like the likes of Geoff Shreeves asking the questions which makes managers squirm, just a pity we have a manager who cant deal with the modern game or it's exposure, he should of just stayed on that cruise and we all would of been happy.

totally agree.

you know what annoys me - that bbc are meant to be independent, and yet their webpage could easily be mistaken for the alex ferguson propoganda machine. we all pay for it, and it should be neutral.

yet how many times have you seen ferguson's rivals 'ranting' or being 'under pressure' accompanied by a well chosen photograph of them not looking their best, yet when he himself bites, he is 'turning up the heat' on his rival or 'dismissing' them. i remember when he teamed up with big sam and actually blew a gasket at rafa. it was described as one of the above.

He is not just manager of a football team he represents a multi mullion global brand.

Central,

If i paid a subscription to skysports, it would be to watch the football. one of the reasons i dont is because i dont agree with the way that they (and other media outlets) exploit the sport for a cheap story. If I wanted to support a global brand, i would go and cheer on apple or mcdonalds thanks. i support liverpool football club.

Mike I do understand what you are saying. But sky sports exists and rules football in my view not for the better. But there it is an a modern manager have to be savvy. I do subscribe to sky sports and I can confirm its a rip off to end all rip off but if you want to watch live games and super league as I do what other choice do you have?

so do you consider ferguson to be 'savvy'? i think he has just bullied them myself and made friends in high places.

it depends how you view it. i dont care if he is polite and media friendly, and i dont think it is a quality required of a football manager. if the managers players and fans are behind him, that is all that should matter in my opinion. if fans want to arrive at the conclusion they dont like the manager because he isnt courteous enough with the media, maybe they should support spurs instead wink

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

The only outlets the manager of a football club should take care with, is the official one. Kenny should be providing quality interviews for the clubs website, channel, magazine and official supporters club.

Why should he suck up to a juggernaut like Sky?

Why?

Just because Kenny isn't "'Arry Redknapp" and the medias favorite son, they've all got it in for him.

Whatever.
