Exactly. We can't go around claiming that the media are against us when Kenny is doing everything he can to antagonise them. He comes across as a silly old tw@ which is what people now associate Liverpool Football Club with when they see us on TV (Sky probably). Not a good ambassador/representative at all.

What scale are you using exactly to decide who has and who hasn't earned the right to be off with the media.

If it's success based then Ferguson has won more as a manager but Dalglish has won more as a player.

Also are you saying that you wouldn't care what Dalglish said to the media if we were in the Top 4.

There is no excuse for rudeness, no matter how much success someone has enjoyed, but those working in media have only themselves to blame.

Football managers and players are interviewed by the media, to sell newspapers or increase viewing figures.
Hence the loaded questions, worded in such a way so as to provoke a response.

Sky thrives on controversey and they are by far the biggest offenders.

I find it hard to have any sympathy for people who stick a microphone in someones face in the immediate aftermath of a bad defeat, or controversial, or wrong decision.

If they really cared, they would give people time to calm down.

But they are in the entertainment industry and watching people going into meltdown on live tv now apparently qualifies as entertainment.

Most, if not all, Premier League clubs have public relations people around. It surprises me that no one has pulled Kenny aside yet and said "You know, you should probably lighten up a bit with these interviews; you're not helping anyone by being a d*ck all the time." Of course, they may have done so, and he probably just told them to f*ck off.

I see that operation slaughter Dalglish v2.0 has begun! sick

Someone uploaded the Sky interview on YouTube last night (happened to be a Man United fan) and within a few hours the video was full of comments from fans of other teams (mostly Man United) having a dig at Kenny and the club once again.

Listen, take Sky out of the occasion. Let's just say its just another Media outlet. Who's to say, that Sky haven't tried to stir [oops] with Kenny or the club behind the scenes? Perhaps, Kenny feels that he needs not to have respect for the interviewer after to the sexism scandal and dig at Carra.

Maybe he's just being protective? (Don't all managers do that?) Especially with all the [oops] the media have wound up this year!

Maybe he wants nothing to do with a Murdoch establishment, which just so happens to own a percentage of a scum newspaper who wrote lies in their rag around this time 23 years ago?

Perhaps? whistle Is that so crazy? REALLY?

I really don't know what the big deal is, Kenny has been funny with journalists before, but not this time! The terrible game against Newcastle for instance, Sky interviewed him there after the game....no problem whatsoever.

He gave this Burton bloke quite a bit of time (more than some managers do) and he wanted to talk about the game, which he is quite right to do so. If he talked about the controversies on camera, he could face punishment, therefore he refrained from talking about the red or an appeal, just in case, he made that clear. The interview dragged on for longer than it needed to, or usually does.

He went to shake somebodies hand and say hello (probably somebody he knows from when he managed Blackburn, who MAY have been in a rush!)....and came back to answer the last question......he didn't even have to do that as far as I'm concerned.

What angers me is that we are becoming a dart board for all these other fans of other clubs. It's become culture and fashionable to have a dig at us now. But what really really REALLY gets to me, is that Man United fans having a dig about our manager showing "no respect"

Errrrr, didn't Rudolph stop talking to the BBC (the biggest news corporation in the world, even ABOVE SKY) for YEARS?

laugh KWALITY (as Rafa would say) laugh

Yes, Ferguson did refuse to speak with the BBC but he didn't fanny around, act like an ignorant tw@t and walk off after giving stupid answers. He realised that the CLUB was more important than his grudge and he realised that the CLUB had an obligation/duty to speak with the media so he sent his assistant to deal with the press. I would much rather Kenny sent someone in his place if he isn't prepared to do that part of the job properly. However, premier league rules say that the manager must attend the interviews or face a fine...

We all know that ferguson's problem with the bbc is due to their investigation into his son's dealings as a football agent where he felt they made false accusations/suggestions. You can't blame him for having a problem with the BBC on that level. What is Kenny's excuse/problem?

Kenny never said he had a problem with the media.

People on here, who want rid of him, have decided he has a problem with the media.

Rubbish. I could look around for you on the net, but I know for a fact he has been funny and walked away before.

I remember once towards Kelly Dalglish funnily enough. I think it was for ESPN.

What I'm saying is, Man United fans should just keep their gob shut on this one, unless they're gonna admit that there manager does exactly the same if not worse.

B*llocks.
