You will have noted that our poor run really revved up on the back of our League cup win. We just have no confidence in the league anymore... we expect bad luck and it comes. But the cups are a different cup of tea and the team know the season and Kenny's future is on the line.

I watched their highlights tonight and everything went through Pienar... but he is cup-tied for Saturday.

Have one of your own coconuts Mate and don't let the doomgloom sonic boom collective get you down.

YNWA!

I don't let them get me down in here, it's just an uncanny uncomfy feeling I've got.
An accumulation of pent up frustration and some anger I guess, and this being the absolute last chance of any sort of happiness to be gained from this unbelievably shocking few months appears to fnally be getting the better of me nerves tbh.
Don't know even if I want to watch the match tbh, which is tantamount to burying me 'ed in the sand.

I am a Ostrich! shocked

As far as I am concerned the game is a win win. If we we win great we have beaten Everton and are in the FA cup final. If we lose hopefully it hastens Dalglish's departure which will be the best prize of all. That is am awful thing to say but we are fans on the edge now.

I'm most certainly that! shocked

In all the decades of following LFC, I've never felt so bloody nervous tbh.
I shall probably be giving several kittens away during the match. whistle

Well if that does happen, and in this turmoiled filled season, who knows, I will be requesting this thread be transferred (free) to my 'Things that make you 'appy' thread! laugh

You're right, that is an awful thing to say - the fact that you'd prefer us to sack our manager than for us to reach an FA Cup Final is nothing short of a disgrace, regardless of your reasoning of 'the greater good'.

He wasn't a ridiculous appointment. In hindsight, maybe you could say that. At the time he was brought in, it was a 100% no-brainer. After he did so well then, it was impossible NOT to give him the job. There would have been uproar. He earned his chance. He got it, and it hasn't worked out. So be it. It wasn't a ridiculous appointment though, it was 100% the right decision for me, I'm not gonna go all 'Captain Hindsight' on everyone, that's too easy really.

I take your point Henry in a way was out manoeuvred by Dalglish, Henry had to give him the job there would have been huge fan backlash at that time. But I still feel then Henry and FSG wanted their own appointment. For the few of us old boys though we knew what we were getting with Dalglish I was prepared to give it a chance but it’s turned out actually worse than I thought. The big danger with Dalglish was that he would do ok neither good or bad and he would be impossible to get rid of. But events are such that it would be quite an easy decision for FSG to get rid of him and I think no fans would mind even the pro Kenny legend ones.
