Not sure its Ian's debut myself. Anyway Ian I think you are being a tad pessimistic it all comes down to Henry. By all accounts he does not tolerate failure and American's in business are not known for sentiment. This close season is the one for Henry to make his mark. Whether he does or he is up to the challenge we aawait with bated breath.

Does'nt look good though does it Stanley, Henry has already bowed to the sentiment card by appointing Dalglish because of the fans once, if he really had the Club's best interest at heart he would be ruthless and terminate his contract on the grounds of gross incompetency of Club funds and under achievemement through League form.

I think Henry gave Kenny the position on merit. He had an incredible run as interim. Had top 3 form if I remember correctly.

took ferguson quite a while to win a title and up until then they were pants. Not saying what future holds for our manager from summer and that if he's around in 5 years we'll be winning titles....dont know. To call Man u average though is a little simplistic. Yeah they are in lots of areas but think they know how to win titles. What they have is very good wingers with plenty of pace i.e. valencia, nani, young if played there. They also have rooney when on form can be a lot like drogba was a few years ago and can tear teams apart on their own. Think we desperately need two world class wingers and someone to put the ball in the net. Oh and lucas back smile

not sure you can blame Kenny for money spent. Sure signings haven't looked like they are working out but surely he doesn't negotiate prices and money spent? Also not sure there wasn't too many fans happy with the appointment at the time
