I think it would be a good idea to get the new manager in right now to work next to Dalglish for the remainder of this season.

The Euros kick off at 8 June, and the final is played 1 July. Not that I think England will go all the way, but a few of our foreign players might be involved in the semis and maybe the final too.

Not much time to gel for a new manager and hopefully at least 2-3 new recruits, between 1 July and 2 August (when we probably enter the Europa League - 3:rd qualifying round)!

Do you think Dalglish would stand for another manager working next to him knowing full well he is replacing him because he is'nt up to the job, would be interesting, most interesting.

I don't know whether he'd do that or not.

Of course it's up to KD to resign should he feel uncomfortable about such an arrangement.

If so the new manager would simply have to lead us from that point.

The good of the club comes before the good of any person associated with it - which also is valid for KD!

I wouldn't go as far as stabalized. Dalglish gave us a feel good factor after the last lot, he lifted the club, lifted the players, and most of all lifted the fans, and yes we had a good run. But what's the difference between then and now? End of the season for me and then walk on, but not alone.

I agree, I think too much gets made of this 'stabalized the club'. The new owners did that by paying down debt. In terms of a squad, we don't have a clear direction of how we play, we don't have a strong spine to build around, we don't know who our first 11 should be nor how they should play, the team is no more stabalized than it was when he took over.

I think KD in his own way is trying to rotate the players to avoid injuries - which is something that has happened to quite a few players anyway.

The problem with having a rotation system before the squad has barely gelled properly is that it may end up in a state of spineless chaos - which is something that we are whitnessing at the moment imo.

The total lack of creative players in the midfield area is also tremendously holding us back. As soon as the ball reaches our midfield everything just stops, and the opposition get the time to reshape. The only time I see something happen from midfield is when SG takes the ball and go on one of his forward runs. That isn't something bad - quite the contrary - we need more of that in every game. But it has very little to do with our offensive general game of play.

Rotation potentially could answer one or two questions, but he's rotating players that compliment one another out of sync.

Taking today as just an example, Downing and carroll is a match for obvious reasons (certainly this season brings that into question), but you would have those two in the same team, likewise, you would play bellamy when your playing the ball more along the ground, not when your whipping balls into the box. Kenny seems to have a third of one team, and a third of another, neither of those thirds can play together, and it wouldn't matter anyway because we are missing another 3rd completely.

Sorry for the convoluted nature of the last sentence but convoluted is how I see our team. There is a missmatch of players, and football strategy all over the pitch. And like today, the few obvious connections we have, Kenny has them not playing with one another (potentially to your rotation idea, but if so his rotation is out of sync and that's a glaringly obvious mistake).

I see no plan with Liverpool. We only really get anywhere when someone takes it upon themselves to do something special, most often suarez, increasingly again Gerrard. But neither of these players are consistent enough this season, nor do they seem to have the finish or quality final ball to make the last bit of difference this season. There is a lot for the players to answer for, but I honestly believe Kenny is putting teams out (sometimes being forced to due to poor signings) that don't compliment one another and, at the risk of repeating myself, just don't have a common strategy or direction.
