Heggy a lot of us know the end game is approaching for our current manager.

We just want it done with some dignity and the right man appointed.

That may mean a few more weeks suffering but it's essential our next manager is the right choice.

It's not blind faith it's making the right choices.

I am not saying sack dalglish not at all and not now.

let him stay to the end of the season and the resign (with dignity) and walk away from the club.

Leaving the new manager a fresh start without kenny shadow hanging over him

I will listen, only if your answer contains wisdom

I wouldn't go as far as stabalized. Dalglish gave us a feel good factor after the last lot, he lifted the club, lifted the players, and most of all lifted the fans, and yes we had a good run. But what's the difference between then and now? End of the season for me and then walk on, but not alone.

I am not saying sack him now either hopefully he will resign end of this season with our gratitude both for his cup success / steadying ship and for his resignation itself.

Thing is Stanley if the right man is available why wait until the end of the season to appoint him, the way I see it is there is hardly any time between the final game of the season and the start of the new season due to these stupid Euro Championships. How much time is any new manager going to have between the end of the Euro's end of June, begining of July and by the time the players come back off there holidays any new manager will hardly have time to have a look at whats already here or sign anyone. If the Club know who they want now and he is available lets just get him in as soon as possible I am not particulary bothered about the F.A.Cup if it means us getting the right manager in quicker.

Ian if we know who the new manager is and he is avaliable then yes let him start. It may well be the new chap has been identified and is already reviewing the squad and signings for next season.

I hope so as it would mean the Owners are doing something about the terrible position we are in and might, just might have some sort of a game plan afterall. Like I say we only have a very short time once this season finishes to find a manager, let him look at the current squad, buy and strenghthen and then get them back in to work with, dont forget those players who are playing in the Euro's get an extra 2 weeks off which will hinder the new seasons preparations and dont forget if we dont win the F.A.Cup then we have to start that Europa League qualifiers before the season actualy starts in July, not time whatsoever for any would be manager.

i just wanted to add something to your post which is, all that deadwood was brought here by hodgson as for ngog, lets be honest with ourselves the season hodgson started playing ngog he scored more goals here than andy carroll, so referring to ngog as a deadwood in comparison to who we have now and what he contributed would be an unfair statement. as for joe cole i would have him back and as for jevanovic he doesnt look that bad now while steering on downing, so as for the deadwood and the stability ummmm i would say no, kenny came back with a better playing style than roy and also got the fans back on the bus. but consistency as never been in that mix
