Where did you hear this? I think he would have to be mad to lower his wages to join us. Can't see it happening especially Mancini in our way.

Could be a real scope if we can land him as he can solve our RW position. If he is frustrated with limited time than that will give us and the other teams an advantage when doing the deal. Will he choose us over Newcastle tho? At the moment it doesn't look like it.

I just dont want to miss out on him and see him go somewhere else for like 10m and be great there and we spend 25m on a flop...

Newcastle have Ben Arfa on the right wing. I doubt they feel any need to improve on that side.

Left wing they have Jonas Gutierrez (or Gabriel Obertan), so no urgent need for improvement there either.

The only reason for them to land Adam Johnson would be if they sold any of the mentioned players, but I doubt they would be able to splash out the dough to pick up Johnson.

Adam Johnson signed a new 5 year contract with City before Christmas! I therefore cannot see them selling him, I think he will become another player to be happy just to pick up his wages and play the odd game!
