i didnt think AA done anything special in tonights game , everytime he had the ball he had plenty of time as city were penned back , and all he seemed to do was pass sideways and slip over 3-4 times, hardly inspiring home debut. Dunno what game you were watching

I know what game i was watching. And he played it simple. He would of had adleast 20 passes. Lost the ball once. He will be an Alonso type with Speed. He likes to keep possession and you can clearly see he has an eye for a pass.

The game of football is'nt just about seeing how many times you can bomb the ball foward ya know.

Thought Ngog looked good. Worthy off another Start. Lucas seems to be getting better.

ozred mate , go watch the game again, he came on and passed the ball sideways 8 or 10 times , hit a long diagonal ball to kuyt that got intercepted and fell and slipped 3 or 4 times, that was it. Surely u cant declare someone a quality signing on that performance. We looked less likely to score when he came on and anyone that says differently is talking bull****. To be fair lucus was unlucky to be subbed , he played brilliantly and looked far more dangerous then AA

And by the same tocken, you can't say his isn't quality after 1 game. Lets give him a bit of time eh?

i am not saying he wont be quality, im just saying that you cant say he was quality or is gonna be based on last night coz he did nothing to make me stand up and notice, and like i said weakened out chance of scoring i feel

FFS he hasn't kicked a ball in anger for months. Playing football is a simple game made complicated by the people who play it. Lucas has improved greatly in the last few weeks and is starting to look like Liverpool player but in fairness to him and Mash their not the type of players to pop up with a goal when your applying pressure and looking to kill teams off. Just like Aquilani probably wont be the type of player you need on the pitch when you've got your backs against the wall and defending the lead.

Where as I respect your opinion on Aquilani I do think your being a bit harsh.

my opinion is you cant judge him on last nights performance because he had 10mins and didnt do a great deal bar slowing our play down by playing the ball sideways , and slipping over several times. So my point is ,that by saying he WILL be a quality signing on last nights showing is VERY premature. Ozred said he would be a quality signing based on his showing of 10mins last night , that baffles me . my opinion only. cheerss
