It's mostly tax I have a lancer evolution as a second car for a bit of fun but haven't had it out for a year it's just too expensive shame I'm going to get it out in the summer for a bit and then sell it damn government and their tax

my nissan patrol is commercially taxed till december. i need to find a way to keep it taxed like that without a vat number.

Can you not just renew it or do you have to produce vat no. Each time? Is the difference between commercial and not commercial much?

in this case the difference is about 1300 euro DBS.  wakka seems to know more about it, but i know a few lads who are unemplyed, they said it is no bother, they just give their personal pps number and say they havent been set up with a vat number.

That is some difference hopefully you find a way around that €1300 is serious cash for road tax
I'd give the pps route a go for sure tho
