Only manager I'd try for. I like his self-belief(some would call arrogance) and 'the world is against us' mentality he brings to his players. His salary demands would have looked paltry compared to the money done on Carroll.

A chairman who stays out of his running of affairs would probably be a first for the man and we'd probably see none of the internal clashes that have dogged him elsewhere.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying Mourhino is exactly what we need and we are exactly what he needs if Kenny does in deed stand down.

If I was the owner of lfc I wud do the following.....

Go all out to get Jose in as manager, this summer,
I wud offer him 1million, net per month, over a two yr deal,
3m bonus for winning the epl, cl,
50m budget, plus money from players sold,
Tell Jose he can become a legend, part of lfc history for ever if he wins the epl title, for this club,
First manager to do so.
Jose luvs making history, breaking club records etc etc

Just imagine if Henry offered Jose 35m, over 3 yrs, last year, (Carroll transfer fee or hendo, downing fee, wud of paid for Jose wages).
Lfc I believe wud be in the top four now or on top of the epl.

F**K the fair play rules. We can live with a 1 year ban from the CL if it means the league trophy can't we? Hell I'd even take a 2 year ban.

i wouldn't mind skipping the CL if it means we dominate the PL. that's the #1-10 target.
