If Rafa is to sign a new contract and is able to take control of the transfers I would expect to see some big changes in the summer. Lots of players going out and no doubt a few coming in.

wouldnt suprise me if dossena was one of those transfers in the summer that rafa didnt agree to.

What's frustrating is that Raffa just said he has heard nothing from the Yanks on the new contract offer...

I just hope we won't lose him because of the inefficiency of some at Anfield... Ridiculous...

So don't assume suddenly there will completely different type of signings. Rafa put Keane on his list, Rafa put Dossena on his list. Agreed, Raffa gives a list of players, but of course it was not Raffa who said splash up to 20.3 million on Keane...

As Raffa said before, with 20 million, its the manager who is in the best position to decide whether to bring in 1 player costing 20 million, or 4 players costing 5 million for the good of the team...

I just hope all these issues are sorted in the contract ASAP

I completely agree with this. Well said.

Whatever the case, Rafa has made poor signings and great signings, the time is up for Lucas, he hasnt worked out. The 2nd game he is just lunging.

Im beggining to feel very uneasy about Rafa contract situation. If Rafa goes, the consequences are severe, we will loose all the great players like Masch, Reina, Torres, Pacheco, alonso. You ca forget getting any south american or spanish players.

It will set us back again. I dont care who says what, but the evidence that the team has improved is in that league table. And when was the last time we took 10 points off chelsea and Man U?

i dont believe any players would go coz of rafa - the same stuff was said about the chavs if maureen went but carvalho etc are still there - players will stay if the next manager wants them to - torres even said he would not go at the end of the interview where he talked about players leaving

don't get me wrong i want rafa to stay but this is just bull about players leaving and that players from spain and south america won't come if he goes - players will come because we are liverpool and we have a great reputation in spain and south america thanks to our years of success

O well, i hear you r point, and it is valid, but under Houllier we would only dream of having Masherano and Torres.

The reputation of the coach makes a huge difference. Maybe some guys will stay, but remeber when torres signed, he only wanted to sign a contract with same length as Benitez.
