Time to play Pro Evo then?

Drafting up player lists like its all easy and achievable.

Dalglish and Comolli have already stated the squad is done, they won't be making any massive signings, a couple of adjustments, if that.

If that is indeed true, then why are you making these lists otherwise?

I feel it will be 2 or 3 players.

A striker (probably Huntelaar)
A centre Back to replace Carra (Probably Lugano or Godin)
A attacking Midfielder/winger (Either Sinclair, Dyer, Moses, or Zaha)

Aquilani, Joe Cole, Aurelio and MAYBE Maxi Rodriguez, will be of.

That my friends, is realism....whether you like it or not.

Players that can be signed, only if the right manager comes in the summer ie

Defence
Godin or lugano
Wingers
Armero.5m, mertens.7m, shaqiri.8m,hoilett.free
Centermids
Banega, belhanda,m davies, Alcantara
Strikers
Dost, olag toivonen, Luke de jong ..2 out of three

No one player will cost more than 15m

I couldn't even imagine who we might buy this summer if anyone. I suppose it will all depend on who is in charge. Would like someone like Huntelaar, Benega in CM might be worth a go too. As above would love Javi Martinez. I think Rafa was after him a few seasons back but I imagine one of the big Spanish clubs will get him.

We might as well give up if we're aspiring to sign SWP. A very, very, very poor man's Theo Walcott.

Shaqiri has already signed for Bayern Munich. He will join them in July once the transfer window opens.

Thiago Alcantara is on the fringes of the greatest team of the past 20 years. But of course he would sign for us! Why play with Xavi, Iniesta, and Fabregas when you can play with Charlie Adam!

Hummels and Javi Martinez - marquee signings, sure, but also among the hottest properties in Europe right now. United are supposedly in for Martinez, ergo, he will not sign for us. Hummels won't be leaving Dortmund any time soon. If he does, he certainly won't be coming here.

Also, please at least try to use something resembling grammar and punctuation in your posts. It takes about 5 extra seconds and it's really not that difficult.

I think it's a myth that all good players won't leave unless they go to a CL team. I don't know the minds of the players I listed and maybe several of them won't leave unless it's to a CL team. However, I think it's more than realistic that we could nab just 4 players in the list to fill our much needed holes.



I made the list because I saw a lot of people asking who we could sign to replace several of our new squad members. It's not a list of people we WILL sign, rather than showing who is out there (and in my opinion, available to get).

I thought it would be a decent change of pace than talking about how [oops] kenny, comolli, and the new signings are.

I don't think the management are dumb, they know we need a striker.

Realistically that's Giroud or Huntelaar. People are calling for Llorente, who is obviously around £30mill EVEN WHEN we already have a Llorente type player at the club.....well when he was at Newcastle at least.

I can see us looking for more cover at center back, considering Carra's situation. Godin or Lugano will be players we are looking at, considering their nationality, ability and experience.

We'll be pushing the boat out and it will surprise me if we make a 3rd signing. 1 Striker, 1 Defender and that will be it.

Ideally a 3rd player would be a creative attacking midfielder/winger who can play in between the lines. Like a Silva type player. However, the management will be looking at our youth team first, at players like Sterling and Suso coming through next year may prevent us from making that signing.

If we do, (and it will surprise me) it will most definetely fall into the Henderson category, young, raw and english. I think Sinclair and Dyer would be out of the question (Because Swansea will want to much) so your left with the likes of Moses from Wigan (who I think is poor) or Zaha from Palace (who shows promise).

We might surprise everyone and try and get Sturridge from Chelsea as that creative/winger/forward type player.

....and that will be our summer, if we do anything, it will be early, if we don't do anything early, we'll be sticking with what we've got, most definitely. (just look at January)

Aquilani will be sold to Milan. £6-8mill.
Joe Cole may be sold to Lille, may find a club in the PL. £5mill
Aurelio will leave on a free.
Maxi Rodriquez MIGHT be sold on, providing the money is good. £5-8mill

i've heard rumours we're scouting gaston ramirez, looks a good player. may give downing the kick up the ass he needs

if we go for a striker i'd like to see someone who can create goals for himself and also be a good finisher.

no matter what commoli has said in the past it's pretty obvious we need a few additions to improve on this season. especially if the club does decide to bring a new manager in through the summer, he'll want a decent kitty.

i wouldn't pay too much attention to what commoli has said regarding transfers. we've already been mugged off by quite a few teams and payed over the odds... hardly gonna come out and say we're gonna spend £50m is he?
