I've seen a lot of people posting about needed new signings, but most don't know who we could sign or who would be realistic. Well, here is a short list of players that I believe are realistic, not terribly expensive, and would be an improvement over what we already have.

Defenders (Carragher is getting old and it wouldn't hurt to add another defender)

2) Neven Subotic
3) Benedikt Höwedes

Wide Men (left and right wingers)
1)Kevin De Bruyne
2)Ryad Boudebouz
3)Mauro Zarate
4)Lucas Ocampos
5)Marko Marin
6)Andre Ayew

Midfielders (Attacking and Defensive)
1) Tomas Rincon
2) Julian Draxler
3) Lewis Holtby
4) Mario Gotze
5) Thomas Muller
6) Yann M'Vila
7) Sofiane Feghouli

Strikers
1) Marco Reus
2) Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
3) Leandro Damião
4) Moussa Sow
5) Seydou Doumbia

I really think we should look for players in the Bundesliga. It's not for nothing Germany is becoming one of the best international teams in the world. We need about 4-5 quality players to get back in the CL and I think all these players are the caliber of what we're looking for. More importantly, I think all are realistic signings and will become world class. Granted M'Vila, Reus, Gotze, and Marin would be the most difficult, I still think we could land them.

So here is my list of replacements for Downing, Adam, Henderson, Carroll, and the aging Carragher. Not to mention Kuyt and Maxi could be on their way out this summer.

these arent realistic signings...they`ll want CL football and will be very expensive...

I'll give you credit for coming up with those lists. De Bruyne has already signed for chelsea if I am not mistaken while players like Gotze and Thomas Muller are difficult to get. We need to sign unknowns and turn them into good premier league players. (Cabaye, Ba, Chicharito) type players who most of us may not have known before coming to the premier league and have turned into vital players for their teams. These are the players I hope Liverpool will target instead of buying the obvious over hyped ones for astronomical fees.

Are we not in for Ba condsidering his buy-out clause?

I fancy Sigurdsson currently at Swansea City - brilliant creative midfielder with experience in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, has slotted right in at Swansea scoring plenty of goals. Best of all, he actually looks up and plays the ball forward with intelligent passing - too many of our players this season have been guilty of playing the square ball or worse, passing it backwards.

I like SWP and Matt Jarvis down the wings, these players are realistically in our price range, not fantastic but would bolster our squad in time for the Europa League. Fletcher from wolves looks a great little player too
