Decent squad player. Shouldn't be compared to xabi as they are different type of players. In terms of adding quality to the team, no comparison. when both on song, xabi wins hands down.

not a xabi at the moment, but in the fuure you never really know where he could end up. Im glad to see the fans arent bashing him anymore for things that go wrong.

LOL, you should go to a game... The people that post here aren't bashing him would be a more valid statement. You wanna go to a game and see the vomit in the stands as the teamsheet gets announced.

if you organise e ticket, ill fly up and go to a game:))) lol. i dont get to see that part of the game unfortunately.

But i would feel it a bit unfair to bash him, he hasnt been causing the problems, agreed he isnt good enough, but really in the last few games he hasnt been the rotten egg. its more the defence caught out in 6's and 7,s,

If the defence is getting caught out when we are playing with 2 defensive mids, then you gotta question the quality of the def mids.

Lucas is poor, no question, i think most people have just got bored of repeating themselves.

A team like arsenal will destroy lucas with the passing and working the ball through the field. Our defensive problems have been from set pieces, and that Lyon goal was a high ball and subsequent knock on. These defensive midfieders play in midfield, if the opposition put a long ball over the midfield, the defense has been caught out too much. Yea.I remeber from youth coaching we were taught "Never let the man or the ball pass you" we have been letting either the man or the ball pass us. i mean WTF that kyriakos was doing in that lyon goal is really dumb

He proved against the Manc that he can play. He just needs to have that confidene in himself every week and put in performance like that on a regular basis.

he's improved. he doesnt set the game alight but if he finds his feet a bit more he may work as a functional player, but he'll never be a star i wouldnt think. some nice passing in the lyon game and held his own against utd so thats an improvment.
