With teams like that you play the expansive game and get your full back involved as much as you can.
they won't come out, so you can leave spearing back and push gerrard as far forward as you want.

No they won't. One off cup ganes are always different and usually lively.
They'll be coming to attack, trying to win.

surely we cant see enough of him to say if he should be in the team on merit if we NEVER play him? cant really impress without playing can he? with his height he could do well on corners either penalty

maybe, but from what i have seen and heard, he is about as pacey as carragher. worth a few games though i suppose but would like to see more of him before id rate him above carra.

maybe we have not seen enough of coates, but we have seen enough of carragher this season to know that coates is worth a go when agger is not fit.

Coates will be here, hopefully, for years to come. Considering some of CArra's recent performances i'd prefer Coates
