Yeah good man Faz.
It's interesting that some of the biggest critics on here don't take the time to come on after a win and even post on being happy at us winning.
I sometimes seriously question there thinking. I was at the game then off to the pub afterwards thats why this biggest critic was not on Koptalk. And a pretty fine game it was too. Everton played a weakened side priortising saturdays cup game and Gerrard was fantastic but his replscement Hendserson was awfull. Still a win is a win.

i really enjoyed the game last night,i hope kenny learns from it.carrol and suarez have to be given more games together.i thought carrol had a good game last night,he played well for the team,he held the ball up well and some of his passing was good.kelly was brilliant and enrique was very strong at left back(again).i was also impressed with spearing,i think he does his job very well.

I agree, I thought Henderson was going to have a nervous breakdown in the first 25mins. He did improve and chipped in a bit(2nd goal) but overall well below what is required. I don't buy this weakened Everton nonsense though, it was all over City on the way back. Rodwell is meant to a '20mil player', Jags 'should be Englands N01 centre back' and Pineaar 'is class' apparantley when I have spoken to blues fans. Only Anichebe is what you would call not a first team player.

Okay finally found the Carling Cup stats. Suarez 3 Gerrard 2 Bellamy 2 Kuyt 2 Maxi 2 Carroll 1 Skrtel 1 Kelly 1
So: ---------------EPL----FA Cup--Carling---Total Suarez__________6_______1_______3________10 Bellamy__________6_______1_______2________9 Gerrard_________5_______1_______2________8 Own Goal________4_______3_______0________7 Carroll___________2_______2_______1________5 Kuyt___________1_______1_______2________4 Skrtel__________2_______1_______1________4 You missed a goal - Carroll has 3 league goals, 6 overall.

Stevie G owes a lot to Suarez especially for those goals.
Nice win, but the performance wasn't great. Only slightly better than the same as I've seen all season.
The team was fine except for 3 things. henderson was poor, and seemingly always will be down the right flank. Spearing is not nearly good enough, and there's nothing he gives that anyone with good fitness, commitment, and just a reasonable touch at football coudlnt' also do. And the third is Dalglish. That's all that is wrong with the current side. You've rolled in in sparkling delightful form anyway! I've seen your thoughts on the game in 3 or 4 threads now and I completely disagree with most of your thoughts/sentiments on the game. But hey, it's a forum, and we won't all always agree. You obviously just had a very different view on the game than I did, it's allowed! By the way, do you think the performance was massively improved from the rest of the season (rather than slightly as I said), or that the performace WAS great, or did you disagree on the players i mentioned? I feel some fans will get carried away with this. A win at home (should be the norm), some goals at last (should be the norm), nothing to go crazy about, we're still 7th. I don't think it was a 'great' performance, no. I thought it was a very spirited performance. Everyone tried and worked really hard, and there were many moments of great football during the game. We put some good moves together, and a lot of that went through Gerrard and Suarez. Carroll and Kuyt when he came on got involved in good movement too. I think some people feel we've played poor football this season - I don't see that at all. I think for the most part we've played really good football - just our finishing has let us down MASSIVELY. We've played a few very poor games in the last month or two, but before that I could only name 2 games this season where we'd been second best. the expectation/hope was that if we kept playing great football, our luck/composure in front of goal would change for the better. That hasn't happened, and instead, some of our overall form has dipped. We were poor against Cardiff, and scraped a win, fantastic against Arsenal, yet lost. Then we were diabolical against Sunderland and deservedly lost, then last night we were much improved against Everton and got a good win. I'd like to see most of the same lineup start at the weekend with possibly Coates coming in for Carra - although I'd be happy enough to see him keep his place (but happier if Agger was back!). I'd like to see Kuyt or Bellamy come in for Hendo on the right. If Bellamy comes in for Hendo, I sincerely hope he plays on the right and Downing on the left - not vice versa - especially if Carroll is playing. It makes no sense otherwise. I'm really excited to see more of the Gerrard-Suarez-Carroll combo, because in the 3 games they've started together they've showed signs of huge promise - the 11 goals in those 3 games speak for themselves.

I know what you mean Rafa, but Carroll is not mobile enough so Suarez is still Graffting on his own. When the ball is played up to Carroll for a flick on then he's o.k., but how many times does he try to get in front of the defender and try to attack the ball especialy when he's in the box?? It showed with Stevies goals on Tuesday, he's willing to claim the ball or make the runs, Carroll just ball watches. If we had another Torres like striker we would be a bigger threat and dare I say probaly in the top two or three!!
