So the general consensus is that Kenny should step aside at the end of the season ...... what if we win the FA cup? Personally I would find it hard to remove a manager who wins two trophies in his first full season in charge. Yes we will finish 7th (hopefully higher) but playing devil's advocate what would people think of him being moved on with two trophies in the back pocket?!

Well one argument could be it would be the ideal time e.g go out on a high? The objective as all now is champions league and beyond that the title hopefully. If Dalglish is not progressing towards that there is only one outcome. And I pose another question what would be the mood if stoke knock us out?

This topic has been done already but in a nutshell I agree with Stanley, but it would buy kenny another season at least.

Check the carling cup vs fourth place thread, and you get the forum opinion, that two cups and lower league finish then fourth, would not be a bad season in most people eyes.

I will listen, only if your answer contains wisdom

I think 5th or 6th may have been acceptable but if a team from wba, norwich, stoke, synderland, fulham etc finish above us as well as Newcastle it may pile on a lot of pressure for our boss

I think it really depends on the league position

In current form we could finish 10th or lower

If that happens you can wins as many cups as you like the league p[position is unacceptable

It's all about the league. No amount of domestic cups can disguise how bad we are or how poor his signings have been.

I think people generally don't have a problem with Kenny's man-managing skills.

But it will be a problem if he goes out and spend another 50m on crappy mediocre players. That's the real danger.
