Well things cant seem to get better, each day its getting worst.

Torres might need surgery, gerrard might need surgery, Riise might return. Voronin is trying to win the world player of teh year, babel is hitting the charts with Eminem.

Now what the hell do you feel about Lyon? I really am not sure, i cant see a victory here, maybe they will pull a win who knows, but its so negative a sad at the moment that i cant see a win.

This is a season from hell.!

I just wish someone would just be brave and get the players motivated.

While i think rafa is good tactically i am not sure he a man motivator and i really think we need one of them right now

A braveheart speech lol

No. its been much worse than this. the souness era was the most depressing, and the end of houlliers reign was diseased.
there is a lot of scaremongering going on through this forum that i refuse to buy into. we are doused in injuries and viruses at the moment. injuries heal and viruses clear up. if everyone was fit and healthy we wouldnt be engaging in what can only be described as a "landslide of despair".
no we may not win anything this year, no we may not get out of the group phases (its not the first year we have been faced with that prospect, we barely got out the year we won it). we had our best season last season for a long long time in the league.
i can appreciate your point Dunc that its only this season that counts but we are only entering november. if its only this season that counts then lets see where we are at the end of it.
but lets stop with the prophecies of doom! every time there is a sniff of bad news everyone picks it up and ads it to the negative picture they are so desperate to paint, and for what?! this club is built on loyalty. on sticking together. after 2005 i remember singing YNWA with tears in my eyes, the song had never meant so much to me as it did that night, and i havent forgotten it. Because its all very well believing the words when we've won, but its now that it counts more than ever. am i a sentimental sap? maybe. i dont care. i love my club and i know my role.
people seem to think that predicting doom for the club and backing it up with carefully selected propaganda makes them an intelligent LFC supporter. well, it doesnt. if the players, managers or back room staff were sitting round melwood talking the way some of you are talking you would be digusted with their attitude. so sort yourselves out please, and hopefully we can instill unity in the club when we need it most. this is supposed the be a forum of supporters. discussions about problems i can handle, defeatism is unacceptable lads, unacceptable.

i admire the post flameboy and i accept defeatism is not the way to go. However neither is blind optimism helping because there are issues to be discussed and hiding the cracks isnt going to help in the long run.

i never have and never will invest in blind optimism. its just about as useless but not as destructive. im well aware of the problems we have, the difference is i have balance to my view of our pro's and [oops]'s and i can shut out the nonsense.
but FFS, if we are not supporting what we have, we are not supporters of the club.
misery likes company round here. its seems its easier for people to all drown in the same bottle of self pity than to show some character and resolve and some belief that we can turn it round. it also seems to be easier for people to believe that the "new manager" magic wand solves all.. dont believe the media circus that is surrounding the club at the moment, its a paper seller, thats all.
is it that people are afraid of believing in their club? afraid to look like a fool because you dont want to be seen as the idiot who backed a sinking ship and didnt have the savvy to predict it? that kind of sh*te attitude is reserved for pundits like eamonn dunphy. thats not what you do if you love your club. really love it.
if raffa gets sacked and the club goes under, are you going to give yourselves a pat on the back for predicting it? no? then whats the point? like i said earlier, i love my club and i know my role. i know whats required of me. to support the team back out of this bad patch, like ive always done. YNWA

i would have put good money on you responding first emp.

sheepy? what does that mean? a sheep as in following the crowd? what crowd would this be? this whole "losing the dressing room" is nonsense anyway. there seems to be nothing but unwavering support from players for raff, and the only gripers are the ex players like pennant who is only a gangster anyway.
if raff ends up going it will only be because of pressure from people who "think" they know whats going on inside a club they're are not in.
i would call 8 people out with injuries and viruses a bad patch. careful what you wish for, you might just get it.
