He is easily our most improved player this season and is one of the first names on the team sheet. I don't know if its down to having a full season under Kenny/Clarke but the man has certainly stepped up his game. Not to mention he is becoming quite the goal threat(maybe he is picking up some of the swagger from his partner Agger). It's funny to think that last summer I was 50/50 on the guy. I was willing to sell him for a better CB. Now, I can't see us without him. Honestly with him and Agger I think we have two of the best center backs in the league.

Anyways, I thought he deserved a thread and some praise.

been absolutely class thisseason, i must admit last season i wanted him gone he was clumsy, bad on the ball and just bad all round really, but hes improved unbelievably this season he s like a different player.

I think Steve clarke deserves to take some plaudits for Skrtels turnaround.It is no coincidence that since he has arrived that the defense has improved vastly.

Absolutely, and let's hope we're singing the same praises this time next year to a couple of the other suspects of the moment.

it just goes to show you that we shouldn't judge players for a few bad games. Confidence is an amazing factor that can play a big part in a players success!
